This Government of Canada publication was issued to all federal public servants after it was first published in 1991. Because the department that first produced Plain Language: Clear and Simple no longer exists, plain language advocates are making this handy guide available on a cost-recovery basis, as allowed by Crown Copyright and Licensing.
