In January 1974, just six months after the death of its star, Bruce Lee, Enter the Dragon was unleashed on a British public yet to witness the famous Kung Fu Craze of the 1970s. Released in the UK three months after it’s North American premiere, the public flocked to the cinemas in their thousands, sparking the Kung Fu revolution in Britain.
It has become the defining film of it’s genre and has attained such a level of importance that it was selected for preservation in the National Film Library in the United States.
Fifty years on from it’s North American release, we celebrate the success and longevity that Enter the Dragon has achieved with a collection of writings about the making of the movie, it’s stars and it’s continued appeal.
