Caradan Elementary First Grade Teacher, Tori Roberts, has had a difficult life. Her abusive childhood led to the development of a personality disorder, but her life begins to change dramatically with the assistance of two men. Compassionate and thoughtful, Neal Watson, the local newspaper editor and her psychologist, Dr. David Schumann, have both helped Tori to realize her own self-worth and everyone agrees she is a special kind of girl. When Tori begins receiving small gifts and notes, she thinks they are from the school custodian, the new male teacher on her team, or the father of a student. When the constant harassment affects her work, she turns to the local police. Suddenly, the harassment escalates and turns to stalking, as Tori begins finding candy wrappers near her bedroom window, receives threatening telephone calls, is being followed, and finally her home is invaded. The police profiler determines Tori may have two of them a as suspect after suspect begins dying or Tori is finally abducted by one of her is shocked to find that the watcher, the stalker, the someone close to she someone who has unsavory plans for her. Will Neal, with the help of the police, be able to save his special kind of girl, or will the stalker be successful in making Tori a victim once again?
